Minutes of the VMC Meeting held on 23 rd August, 2008

A meeting of the Vidyalaya Management Committee was held on 23 rd August, 2008 in the office of the Principal, KV Pragati Vihar. Following members were present:

• Smt. Neeta Khurana, Principal and Member Secretary

The Principal welcomed the members and requested the Chairman to convene the meeting. The following points were discussed / decisions taken:

• Confirmation of the minutes of the VMC meeting held on 16 th February, 2008 The minutes of the meeting were confirmed. Action Taken Report of the VMC meeting held on 16 th February, 2008 Chairman and members of the VMC expressed their satisfaction on the action taken on the points of the previous VMC meeting.
• To discuss the CBSE Results 2007-08 for Classes X & XII The CBSE result 2008 was discussed at length. The members expressed their satisfaction on the qualitative improvement of results. The chairman emphasized that steps should be taken so that students should learn more rather than just passing. Remedial teaching to the slow learners should be given right from the month of July itself. Chairman stressed on the effective teaching learning at primary stage.
• To discuss and approve the VVN & SF budget 2008-09 Discussed and approved.
• To approve the appointment of teachers for Pre-primary and Informatics Practices Approved. Students strength in different sections The VMC viewed very seriously the increasing strength in Class I due to TC cases and special dispensation quota. VMC stressed that the intake capacity to Class I should be restricted to 30 per section only. The Chairman said that a letter to this effect should be sent to KVS. To approve the condemnation of unserviceable articles of different departments Approved for further approval from KVS as the total amount is exceeding Rs. 2,00,000/- Additional section in Class VIII for the session 2009-10.
• The VMC recommended opening of one additional section for class VIII for session 2009-10. A request can be made to KVS for the same.
• Construction of boundary wall towards encroachment area VMC suggested that a temporary boundary wall using steel fabrication should be constructed towards encroachment side for the safety and security of students. Estimate for the same should be asked from CPWD. Mr. A K Meena was requested to get the same from CPWD. Beautification of the vidyalaya campus VMC expressed satisfaction on the beautification and cleanliness of the Vidyalaya. It was suggested more cleanliness is required outside the main gate. The main sign board outside the main gate also needs to be painted.
• To discuss the activities to be undertaken under National Adolescent Education Programmme in the Vidyalaya The VMC approved the activities to be undertaken under National Adolescent Education Programmme in the Vidyalaya as per the guidelines given by KVS
• The Principal expressed her thanks to the Chairman, Sh. Baldev Mahajan for his guidance and support in the development of the Vidyalaya. She also conveyed her deep sense of gratitude to all members of the VMC.
